Steamship Terminal Deck Opens
May 14, 2014 - A new deck on the historic Steamship Terminal facing Victoria’s scenic Inner Harbour is now complete. Offering an amazing vantage point over some of Victoria’s biggest signature events, it also creates new space on the causeway level of the building for other uses.

Steamship Grill & Taphouse Opens
December 9, 2013 - The doors are open at the Steamship Grill & Taphouse! Come on down to the Inner Harbour and try out this new restaurant offering. Featuring a variety of fresh local and ethically produced ingredients, as well as a selection of beer and wine on tap. Enjoy your meal in the classical heritage surroundings of the Steamship Terminal.

Restaurant & Coffee Bar Announced
January 22, 2013 - A morning coffee bar and full-service restaurant is announced for the Belleville Street level. The 3500 ft2 food and beverage operation will focus on fresh local ingredients.

Marquee Tenant Announced
June 21, 2012 - The Bateman Foundation is announced as the marquee tenant for the  Steamship Terminal. The top two floors of the building will house offices, educational and outreach space for the Foundation, as well as a publicly accessible gallery of Robert Bateman's work.

Restaurant and Retail Tenant Search
March 8, 2012 - Greater Victoria Harbour Authority holds a process to select food & beverage, retail and exhibit operators to sub-tenant the 1924 landmark Steamship Terminal building on Victoria's Inner Harbour.


GVHA Selected
Nov. 30, 2011 - Greater Victoria Harbour Authority is selected to manage and operate the Steamship Terminal by the building's owner, the British Columbia Provincial Capital Commission.

Initially, GVHA will be focused on re-opening the building with highly capable and experienced food, beverage and retail operators, which will serve as a stepping stone to advance our plans for a consolidated common-use ferry terminal. Ultimately, our objective is to establish a world-class and sustainable marine transportation and tourism gateway for the region.
